SUMMARY
Working with the National Category Manager, the Printed Products Support Specialist (PPSS) is responsible for the procurement and order fulfillment process of printed goods and services from Tension’s supply chain. In this roll, the PPSS will provide day-to-day support, from quotation to delivery, of Tension’s growing printed products business. The PPSS will develop a relationship with key suppliers and identify the unique capabilities of each to deliver the highest quality of service to both internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Expert understanding of Tension’s Printed Products Supply Chain and customer needs
· Identify new suppliers and gain an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of each
· Meet with existing suppliers on a regular basis to understand new capabilities/restrictions
· Understand price points for a variety of printed products and negotiate pricing with vendor partners
· Ensure vendor partners maintain Quality of Service (QOS) standards established by Tension
· Gain technical expertise for product line
· Manage the printed products outsource process from quotation to order entry to delivery and billing
· Maintain a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and customer service for internal and external customers
· Acute awareness of project timelines with ability to maintain on time deliveries
· Provide service support and communicate project timelines, order information and delivery information to internal sales team members
· Day to day activities include, but are not limited to requesting quotations from vendors, managing purchase order issuance, and ensuring vendor payment and customer invoices are processed through Tension A/P and A/R respectively
· Other printed products duties as required
· Occasional travel required
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Strong oral and written communication
· Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy required
· Exhibits positive and professional behavior with both internal and external customers and exhibits leadership qualities
· Strong project management and organizational skills
· Ability to confidently and professionally interface with Key Supply Chain Partners, Customers, and Internal Staff is essential.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s Degree and at least five (5) years (combined), managing print production OR a High School Diploma /GED
· Eight (8) years (combined) managing print production or external vendor relationships
· Purchasing or negotiating experience a plus.
