PRESS OPERATOR (HEATSET)

SHIFT SCHEDULE – M-TH
2nd shift – 6pm-6am (Starts Monday night at 6pm) overtime May be required

Responsibilities:
– Operation of Heatset press (up to 10 colors)
– Perform machine make readies, achieving run speed standards, and matching color proofs or samples
– Monitors the product for quality while minimizing waste
– Accurately keep record of material and time. Accountable for equipment maintenance.
– Any repairs required on the press, or associated equipment should be immediately reported to the supervisor
– Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and assists in repair of machine malfunctions; performs routine cleaning, and maintenance

Qualifications:
– 2-3 years of Press Operator experience
– Ability to read and comprehend job ticket to ensure all requirements of the job are met
– Ability to change plates, blankets or cylinders as required
– Run press and pull samples to check for ink coverage/density, registration and quality
– Possesses mechanical and troubleshooting skills
– Ensure press and associated equipment is properly maintained
– Experience with the following Press & In-Line Finishing equipment: Heidelberg Harris M100, M110 26 ½” and 2 x 5 – 10-unit Presses. Remoist, wet and spot glue.

Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
