Henry Hub spot prices for natural gas rose 22% since our last update, breaking through the $3/MMBtu threshold for the first time since late January and hitting $3.30 before falling back to hover in the $3 range. Benchmark electricity prices rose less than 2% during the same timeframe. Electricity buyers in New York saw a 5% increase, the largest jump of the competitive power markets, while pricing in Massachusetts fell roughly 1.5%. Read on here.
