We are a fast-paced commercial printer located in Roselle, NJ. We are looking for a high energy, solution oriented individual with the knowledge and understanding that spans across all aspects of prepress, digital printing, variable data and USPS regulations. This position will collaborate with all other departments to ensure timely and accurate production schedules. Integral to the success of this position will be the ability to manage a multitude of projects in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and be able to communicate effectively within the organization.
Position Summary:
§ Preflight client supplied files and output laser prints.
§ Assemble and process jobs from client supplied files.
§ Make type modifications as requested.
§ Generate and send (via email) digital color proofs for client approval.
§ Strong working knowledge of Macintosh/Windows desktop publishing applications as well as server-based rip/trap programs for page layout and automated workflows as per the company’s standard operating procedures.
§ Output proofs, impose jobs and image plates.
§ Other duties as assigned.
§ This is a Day shift position.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Prepress – Apogee, Preps/Preflight responsibilities include monitoring email and FTP site as well as Client FTP sites for incoming jobs. Using Mac and PC platforms with a strong knowledge of Apogee, Adobe Acrobat, Pit-stop, Adobe Creative Suite and Flight Check Professional to check the quality of product to be printed on press using DG3 Standard Operating Procedures.
Collaborative skills – able to work effectively across levels and departments
Internal customer satisfaction drive
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years PREPRESS OPERATOR EXPERIENCE. Suitable candidates will not be designers, freelancers, etc. The successful candidate MUST recently come from a commercial print space.
