Sign-In Process Change Coming to RCRAInfo on August 17th

Attention – all members with a RCRAinfo hazardous waste account for tracking and biennial reporting.

EPA, along with other federal government agencies, is required to implement a multi-factor login process for our data system users. This change will require users to sign in to the RCRAInfo Industry Application with a Login.gov account. Login.gov is a secure sign-in service used by many government agency applications.

The new login process will be implemented in the RCRAInfo Industry Application on Saturday, August 17, 2024. To continue using RCRAInfo, you will be guided to set up your RCRAInfo User ID to use Login.gov. To do this, when you log in to RCRAInfo for the first time on or after August 17, type your User ID on the RCRAInfo Sign In page, click Continue, and follow the on-screen steps. You will be redirected to Login.gov to create a Login.gov account (click “Create an account”) or link an existing Login.gov account (“Sign in”) and establish a second authentication factor. It is important that you do not change web browsers or devices during this process, even to verify your email address. A short how-to video and step-by-step instructions will be available on RCRAInfo.

After completing this process, you will need your RCRAInfo User ID and your Login.gov credentials going forward. This also means we are able to implement a more streamlined electronic signature process in RCRAInfo. Certifiers will no longer need to re-enter their password or answer signature questions – one click and your document will be signed.

For general account management support, contact EPA’s CDX Help Desk at 888-890-1995 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm ET or helpdesk@epacdx.net. For Login.gov support, call 844-875-6446 or submit a help ticket at https://login.gov/contact/.

Note to testers in the RCRAInfo Pre-Production environment: Please note that you configured your RCRAInfo Pre-Production account in Login.gov’s Test environment and must repeat the process in RCRAInfo Production on or after August 17.
