Revised OSHA 300 Reporting Final Rule

OSHA revised their recordkeeping standards for annual reporting of OSHA 300, OSHA 300A, and OSHA 301 documentation.  In the past certain industrial companies, Including printing and packaging companies, who had 20-100 employees must electronically submit their OSHA 300A log.  All companies with 250 or more employees had to electronically submit their OSHA 300A log.

Now, Establishments with 100 or more employees in certain high-hazard industries must electronically submit information from their form 300 and 301 to OSHA once a year.  These submissions are in addition to submission of form 300A.

Looking at the new list there are no member supported industries in our membership that must comply.  However, we may get some questions about the new reporting.

Appendix B to Subpart E of Part 1904—Designated Industries for § 1904.41(a)(2) Annual Electronic Submission of Information From OSHA Form 300 Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses and OSHA Form 301 Injury and Illness Incident Report by Establishments With 100 or More Employees in Designated Industries.
